Frequently asked questions while studying in China

1) If the student is ill, how shall Huijia handle it?
Answer: It depends on the student's illness. For ordinary illness, camper will be taken to school clinic and treated by full-time doctor, and camper will pay for the related expenses. For serious illness, camper will be taken to the China-Japan Friendship Hospital and treated there, and the camper will pay for the related expenses.
2) Will Huijia provide both articles?
Answer: school will provide necessary both articles such as toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, shower towel, and etc.
3) If the child does not know how to wash his/her clothes, will the school provide laundry service?
Answer: Yes. The school will provide laundry service with small fee.
4) How much pocket money should the student take? Shall this money be under the care of the school or the student himself?
Answer: Camper shall bring USD30-100. If the camper wants to go shopping or see a doctor, the camper should probably prepare more money. He/she can take care the money by themselve or put it under the care of the teacher.
5) If the student arrives at Huijia School in advance, what fees should he pay? What is the fee for the airport pick-up?
Answer: a daily fee will be charged. The fee for the airport pick-up shall not be higher than the fee for taking a taxi.
6) Is there a regular period for the children to communicate with their parents by telephone or E-mail every week?
Answer: school will arrange one or two evenings for the children to communicate with their parents every week. They can use Internet for one hour every time. From 21:00-22:00 every evening, they can receive the calls from their parents or they can purchase 201 telephone card to call their parents.
7) How many pieces of luggage can the student take on an aircraft?
Answer: The international airline entering or leaving China generally allows two pieces of luggage; no piece is allowed to be heavier than 72 pounds. But the national airline in China only allows one piece of luggage, which is not allowed to be heavier than 44 pounds. Both the international airline and the national airline allow one hand luggage, which is not allowed to be larger than 45 inches or heavier than 11 pounds. If you want to take more or heavier luggage, you should pay for the excess luggage.
8) With regard to the hygienic condition of food and drinks, what should we pay attention to? What about the food and drinks offered at Huijia School?
Answer: All meals provided by Huijia are fully cooked. Huijia School has Chinese canteen, Western canteen and South Korea canteen for the students to choose. There are full-time cooks to prepare nutritious and various dishes, which provide the students with a balanced diet. What is worth mentioning is that all the vegetables used for the students' meals are the non-polluted vegetables especially provided by the Huijia Students' Farm. Tap water can be not drunk unless it is boiled.
9) What belongings should the student take to attend the Huijia Chinese Summer Camp?
Answer: The student should take the following necessary belongings: clothes, slippers, pajamas, swimming suit, swimming cap, perfume, sunscreen, sunscreen hat, umbrella, and etc.
